I'm a 40-something guitarist who has been playing on and off for many years, but mostly just at home. I've messed around with blues, rock and jazz at various times, but have also played classical in my youth. I have electric and acoustic guitars and am happy to play either.

I would like to make contact with local musicians so that we can just play and enjoy ourselves. If there is an opportunity to do some sort of performance I could be up for that, time permitting.

I also play a bit of djembe with a drum circle, piano and harmonica. I'm happy to bring these into the mix, but I'm not so experienced on them as with the guitar.

I've just started experimenting with some recording on my PC. This is slightly complicated by me using Linux, but there's some good, free software out there.

As of September 2008 I've joined a rock covers band, so that will give me something to work on. I still want to do some recording at home.
