PINK FLOYD TRIBUTE VACANCIES: I'm looking for Midlands based people who really want to play and or sing in a Pink Floyd Tribute that is regarded as high quality. The other people that are interested all work for a living so do I. This project wikll not be about the money primarily but there is very good potential to earn some. Sax Vocals Guitars, Drums and Bass vacancies are currently open. No Egos accepted and you have to be prepared to muck in with gear loading and unloading etc. If you do happen to have an ego please don't bother contacting me, interested team players with one common goal - to polay in a great tribute to Pink Floyd and have fun along the way.

I currently play with Pure Purple - Deep Purple MKII tribute. (www.purepurple.org) there is a myspace link there with some videos in the page. I have my own MySpace page now too (www.myspace.com/splitpinkeys)

I'm interested in anything that pulls a good crowd - average size of 200 or more if possible, tribute is fine. Wouldn't mind a bash at some originals, prefer to head down the atmospheric gothic route for originals, gothic is something I've always fancied but never managed to do.

I own Hammond C3, XK-3, Leslie 145, Leslie 770, Korg Triton Pro and about to purchase a Kurzweil of some description so I can get accurate sounds to do Pink Floyd. Whatever I play, I try to play it with feel or fire whichever is required. I don't do frilly keys and don't like to overcrowd the music - I don't have a problem with playing at the back - not desperate to solo - more to make a really good contribution to a good band which should make good music according to me... In short, I'm a less is more kind of player but do like a band to have bollox no matter what it's playing.

I don't think I am the best keyboard player in the area but have an open mind and don't mind pushing my own boundaries to try something new. I have worked with other keyboard players on the same stage without any problems, in fact very well.

Influences/ Idols: Deep Purple, Jon Lord, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers, All of Niacin, Chuck Lovell and Jimmy Smith (RIP).
Also really enjoyed seeing Nic Blun once at the Trumpet in Bilston. Superb Pianist!
