we are a friendly, layed back and experienced six piece percussion ensemble (conga, cahon, bells, bombo , surdo etc) who are based in central manchester. we are currently exploring afro cuban and afro brazilian carnival and folkloric rythmns and are about to collaborate with a cuban dance instructor on a series of comparsa/ conga dance workshops. we need other experienced musicians to take part, create some magic and have some fun and at some point help us to gain professional bookings and hopefully make some money.
we are all influenced by african, cuban and brazilian roots music , but would like to branch out into jazz, world and experimental contemporary styles. a brass section would be ideal but anyone who likes and is influenced by ethnic and world music would be made welcome.
we have regular cheap rehearsel space in central manchester
