I'm a music producer specialising in mixing, arranging and mastering. The way I work allows me to charge very cheap prices. All I need is a copy of the vocals to a song, and maybe a demo(good or bad quality, doesn't matter, but this isn't essential). With this I can easily build the track around the vocals without a band having to be there, which means you will cut back on all the normal studio costs and save yourself a few hundred pound. The only thing a band needs to give me is a vocal track, as this is probably the only thing I can't do without. It is easier (and cheaper for you) if you can record this yourself and then send it to me, rather than coming into the studio. I work at a studio in Sheffield, and for a record label, so if the right song comes along I might be convinced to offer a record deal.
