The Iron Works is a project recording studio based in south Birmingham. Which can happily accommodate solo artists, singer/songwriters, acoustic groups and small bands of any genre. The studio ambience is relaxed and informal, far from the 'sterile box' feel of some studios. We prefer it this way; it's a better place to work.

You’ll have 124 tracks of digital recording at your disposal, as well as analogue and valve equipment.

If you want to bring in existing work from another studio to finish off, we can accept audio on most recording formats (Please call to double check compatibility).

Our mixing system means you can work on a track over a period of weeks or months, allowing you to spread the cost of making your recording.

Take your final mix away on any of a variety of formats. All your work recorded at the Iron Works can be archived (for a small charge) to our digital library, so if you want to come back and make a small change later, it's easy to do.
