I'm a frontman/lyricist with plenty of gigging and studio experience in various types of bands - including an original acoustic duo, 5-piece original band, 5-piece function band, 11-piece soul band, and a 15-piece big band. I've been working as a professional singer and theatre performer since early 2006. I've got a strong, versatile baritone voice. The best way I can describe my voice is sort a mixture of Alex from The Calling and Andrew Strong from The Commitments. Influences include: Ben Folds (Five), Barenaked Ladies, The Feeling, Dave Matthews Band, Crowded House, Coldplay, Ray LaMontagne, Paolo Nutini, right through to the classic artists from the 60's and 70's like Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, The Temptations, The Beatles, Beach Boys... you get the idea
