Liminal Escapades has always been the continually running project of music producer Lewis Leeming - (Me). Between all other work I have had with the many musicians who come and go from my life, I have always had my own music to cling on to. It is utterly raw in semantic content, makes no apologies, and exposes reality as it truly is without sitting on the fence. I have always believed that lyrics are the linchpin of a song (hence the etymology here; song implies a piece of audio material that contains singing, and in modern music the personality behind the voice creating the vocals is extremely important to serious listeners, inspiring sub-cultures within cultures by identification and thought provocation). So, instead of being vague and disappointing with my ideologies and philosophies - which are far reaching, I choose to be concise, stripped down to the core, and hit the wounds where they hurt. Nevertheless, the music here is just as important - indeed the voice is itself simply another instrument with human language capabilities. The music is the essential carrier for the entire aesthetic and meaning of the piece, without which the message would be lost like a telephone signal down a badly interrupted line. I have developed the art of manipulating audio in ways that will change the listener's brain state on an unconscious level, through subtle control of all harmonic and frequency content. These songs are obviously inspired by my life experiences, but I work hard to make them as accessible to everyone as possible, because I truly believe they apply to all of mankind.
