Kemi Amos is a 26 year old Nigerian born female singer/songwriter Guitarist who now resides in the United Kingdom.

Her musical influences come from a wide range of artists and genres from the African continent and the United Kingdom and the United States as well. She draws some inspiration from Lauryn Hill, Erica Badu, Jill Scott, Fela Kuti, DC talk, Brian Adams to mention a few although her music is completely unique and original. She is also a great fan of musicals and opera dance and especially jazz.

This cultural variety in her style makes her a truly interesting artist with a long and varied career in front of her. Kemi Amos is currently recording a five track EP for release in July 2008.

She is also performing at many open mike and showcase platforms in the London area and promoting her forthcoming release.
Kemi Amos intends to promote her new CD in both the Uk and in her native Nigeria. Her lyrical style is accessible to both native English and Yoruba speakers. Her Lyrics are direct and to the point yet never shallow or predictable.
