I.C.O.N are steadily establishing themselves as one of the most exciting metal bands to emerge from the UK underground in the last few years.

Formed just before the new millennium, the band initially started writing and gigging throughout the UK with a drum machine before drummer James Henderson climbed onboard in early 2005.

After years of relentless gigging and the release of 2 well received EP’s, the band released ‘Control’ in 2006 which had mass positive media response, raising the band’s profile further. 'Prizefighter', taken from the EP, made it onto the cover CD of Powerplay magazine in October 2006.

In 2007, I.C.O.N enjoyed their best year to date with sell out Manchester shows including a sterling highlight appearance at Manchester Academy, a support slot with international rockers Zico Chain and an appearance at ‘In The City’ as well as the release of the popular ‘Messiah Complex’ EP.

2008 brings UK tour dates with legendary metallers Diamond Head, shows with Witchfynde and Blaze Bayley, Voodoo Six, the release of their long awaited debut album, 2 tracks from the 'Messiah Complex' EP included in a release of computer game ‘Motorm4x’, a memorable appearance on SKY TV, mainstream magazine exposure, a track on an American Rock and metal CD compilation ‘Surf Rock’ alongside members of Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne band, WASP, Alice Cooper band and more, all along with their hefty touring and potent live shows.

Absolutely blind to the current trends, I.C.O.N are forging their own path and pushing and shoving their way through in the only way they know how; with attitude, anger and their brand of hard-nosed fist pounding metal anthems, getting the I.C.O.N message out there as far and as wide as possible, pushing ever harder.
