I've been playing a covers band for the past year or two, now totally fed up with "sounding like the record" and want to play own stuff/own versions with like minded people.

I listen to everything from Metheny to maiden and beatles to berlioz, favorite guitarists are more the Rory Gallaghers than the shredders (i.e. playing from the heart not from the text book), I suppose my favorite music would be blues or blues based rock, but then I listen to Little Feat (still!!!) so I gues I'm open to most things (except pop - but even then theres some exceptions)

Before you ask, I'm the one who doesn't like queen or elton john, so if that puts you off...sorry.

Apart from that I'm 48 and get the fealing that I might be right for joining a boy band......

Any other ageing rock stars out there who can busk and enjoy playing to a fairly good standard...get in touch.
