i have recently been posting more on this site only to find that the amount of users on the site has dwindled to a handful of people .
the attitude on the site is very negative . people seem to be acting like micro fascists raised on hate and seem to be directing towards anything that does fit into their even tinier world of selfism and self doubt .
not all people i must add , although i have been surprised to see that even people who are normally much milder mannered have been blazing away with their contempt of the world that the newspapers brings to them .
this is what happens when you read newspapers and watch television - your mind is taken from you by forces beyond your control , and you become a zombie . although you may generally display the character of a living and breathing humanoid , your spirit has been arrested and held to ransom for the sake of the drug f the nation .
this doesn't happen to everybody , intelligent people can pull through. most of you aren't that intelligent . although i can't be talking about you , can i ?
where is the spirit of art and creation of beautiful things on this site ?
anyway , i'm going and i'm not coming back , cos its pooey !!!!

Only a few people vent spleen on the forums although how constructive this is regarding the business of "finding musicians" I can only wonder  There is a good deal of negativity I agree.
Recently I've found it impossible to upload tracks to this site from either pc or mac. I get the feeling the controller has left the control room...This site is really of little practical use to me. I've never found a musical working relationship through this web site (actually thats a lie, there's been some distant musical working relationships). Through other ones yes like "Join My Band.co.uk" but not here!

It's in the nature of forums that debate gets heated, especially with emotive subjects like immigration. It's easy sitting at home to write something that you would never say (or would say in a less aggressive way) in person.
I've become quite fond of this strange and disparate little "community" and I've heard some excellent music I would never have heard otherwise (and some pretty weird stuff), as I'm not usually that adventurous musically.
I'm not gonna say we should all be nice to each other or any crap like that, the anarchic (and let's face it, sparcely populated) nature of this site is part of it's charm, but holding the opinion that immigration and population movements can cause problems with the host community doesn't make you a fcuking nazi scumbag, and holding the opinion that instances of preferential treatment for immigrants are largely mythical doesn't make you a pinko liberal member of the "PC Brigade" (I always wonder what their uniform looks like). Same with your opinion on Micheal Jackson's sexual proclivities.
And anyone who doesn't agree is a cvnt

There has always been a knockabout 'last man standing' feel on this forum. Back in the day it could get a lot worse than this. HOWEVER..now there are still a few here who love to dish it out but cry like biddy biddy babies when they get it back. Maybe it's because there are not as many of the old faces around here who although could be complete cocks were intelligent and fun.
As for where the art is? Good question
I made a resolution recently that I would try and interject a bit of life into this staggering corpse and comment on a few tracks but given the mentality of a lot on here, the absence of new musos and the banality of a lot of the tracks... I dont think I can be bothered.
there are still some great musos on here that i would love to encourage and have a laugh with but its got incredibly narrow minded and fatuous.
Why bother, I thought it would be fun to be here again but instead its just more of the same old crap...If I want that I will go to the local moron fest. (you know who you are)

There's been many a spat on here over the years, but its art imitating life isnt it? Some spit the dummies out and some just have a go and leave the room, the choice is yours, i always find it really amusing that anyone can take this site so serious. Its just a an internet forum full of old muso's who winge and moan just like we all do away from cyber world, so the negativity is just self perpetual. No point posting music here as its not a site that focus's on those specifics and never has been even though it would have been nice if stoo did try that angle, but he didnt and now it appears a few crew are left to steer a ghostship. Danc C is the mutineer 
Get over it noods, we are all adults here (some may beg to differ) how can anybody be offended by this site?

the things I say about immigration on here I say in real life to people, I don't water it down, so I disagree that I am only saying it coz i'm too scared to say it in real life if that is what you are implying, only the other day I said some of the same things to one of my mates, we all complain it's just what we do, negativity is just something that comes natural to us, and when we hear it it sparks something inside us to complain, complaining is something that makes us british, and it is one thing we can do together, united, if you can dish out insults then you need to take em too, otherwise don't bother. |
