hey thanks dude...

yeah i think i might have bumped a fader accidentally or something because it does sound kinda "harsh" to me, as if the compression or something was too extreme...

sounds a good demo, just one thing, maybe pan the gtr and vocs away from each other a bit cos the gtr is obscuring the lyrics slightly

There's a good track in there but it's badly mixed. Had to remove my headphones at one point! It's not necessarily a physical loudness either. The drums and guitar are very thin and scratchy sounding, almost like you've turned the treble up and the bass down. It desperately needs some 'warmth' added to it

Don't take that too harshly as the actuall song itself I liked and my efforts at mixing aren't great either. There are people on here better placed to give you advice on how to improve the mix, but as I said, the song itself I like.

Yah the choons are ok liked pills and chains nice dirty geetar tone sounds like a real amp was used, as far as mixing goes a good source of information is here

http://www.soundonsound.com/forum

lots of good articles about using eq, compression/limiting, fx and high pass/low pass filters etc to bring clarity to a mix and as you pointed out even hammy still manages to muck it up lol.
