Hi all. Thought we'd share this rather cool site we've been using. They are called MusicSubmit and they take a lot of the pain and frustration out of sending your tracks off to hundreds of radio stations (mostly online, but also a few fm stations including very well-established university radio stations) who like to file your CDs in the bin. The way it works is very simple: you create a profile for your band, upload 3 of your best tracks, make sure you categorise your music accurately and they send it to a well targeted group of stations, labels and online publications who have signed up to receive music from them. You decide how many you want your work sending to - obviously the more you want, the more it costs. The price is pretty good - especially if you're normally in the habit of posting CDs. We found the positive response rate from radio stations to be excellent and it really boosted the hits we got on our MySpace and Reverbnation profiles as well as helping to increase online sales. You get a detailed breakdown of who your music has been sent to and you are free to visit their sites and contact them yourself if they don't respond to your submission.
They also do submissions to indie labels and offer help with tour promotion. You can find them here:

nice one Deryn. I came accross musicsubmit about 10 months ago and got some good feedback, the only problem i found was alot of US stations wanted CD's and the hassle of shipping them and cost put me off so i never got round to sending them, also i didnt have the time to send etc etc. It is very useful however and various stations allowed yousendit.com submissions which is far more cost effective.

Sounds great, maybe I should get off my ass and record those songs I've left for ages...
