my house mate seems to think that it is normal or at least not weird to bring a huge pile of orange fungi into the kitchen, or at least I assume that is where it came from, I have no other explanation for it!

Is it bright orange and a bit like orange peel? Think that's an edible type of fungi.... Though i'd give it a miss! Looks like your housemate is exploring new pizza toppings..... Mmmmm.... Enjoy!

yeah it is, i guessed it would probably be edible but it is still a little random to come home to nobody in but a kitchen full of the stuff!

Hmmm... When I was a student I used to come home to random orange traffic cones. How times have changed!

Mushrooms...the ones from tesco, white, small. You chop them up and put them in food!

The small dried ones at Glastonbury you sprinkle on your pizza. Now we're talking!
