| | Posted: Mon 04 Aug 2008 11:52 | | Hi
Got a 60w Fender Hot Rod Deville 2 x 12 and I would like to get something a bit smaller (lighter - mine weighs 50lb!) for smaller venues.
Anyone got a smaller tube amp that may be of use?
Cheers
D
May be interested in p/x with stuff in my 'for sale' list

Not sure that would cut past a 'quiet' drummer!

Do you play with a decent PA?

The PA is good at bigger venues but I would use the current amp.
For smaller ones, it is downsized so probably wouldn't be of use.

Thanks for all the input.

| | Posted: Fri 08 Aug 2008 16:00 | | That's a fecking bargain! cheapest I've seen one is £250 in a shop in Bristol. You've got a serious investment there dude. You could sell it for over £200 if you didn't get on with it...

Exactly what I needed. Great sound and no backbreaking weight.

What you need is a little gadget from ebay.
Search on there for item number 190210969032. Offer the guy $10 as a 'Best Offer'. It'll cost around $30 including postage. Thats about fifteen quid!
Cheaper than the usual Power Brake/Soak things especially if you are only going to use it at home. Does the same thing by putting a load on the output so you can turn your amp up above two at home!

| | Posted: Fri 22 Aug 2008 10:21 | | But thanks for the advice - I acutally looked at similar items and found one even cheaper, ended up being £15 including postage to UK. Sounds like exactly what I need! I can't wait to try it.

| | Posted: Fri 22 Aug 2008 11:26 | | Just realised that's the same price - duh. But after checking on Harmony Central, the one I just bought seems to have the better reviews. Now just the long wait for delivery....
