I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any music promoters that would support a heavy metal band, by helping us book gigs? We're not asking for any kind of record deal or anything like that, we just want to play. Most venues we have spoken to aren't booking outside talent and just rely on their local bands, unless you're signed then they'll pretty much book you.

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated. Oh and we're based in Manchester if that's any help.

It's the way it goes. You just got to keep badgerign them until thet relent. It helps if you have a decent demo adn a video helps too.

One big problem is that rock bands are pretty much two a penny so you need to be offering something a bit different. It's unfortunate but heavy rock deasn't fill pubs unless they are specialised live music venues withan established heavy rock clientelle.
