The cymbals are those flat bits on top of the sticky up bits to the left and right. They make lots of top-end noise when you hit them, provided you have turned the power on, you should be able to HEAR them.
The iconic SYMBOLS in brackets, are used HERE to give others an indication of your standing, from a musician/forum perspective. NB perspective is NOT made of plastic, as a rule!

No wonder drummers get a bad rap!!!!!!!
