MusoFinder Announcement
This is an announcement that was sent on the 11th July
It's the summertime and we are excited to announce a new update to the site improving on the already massively successful and popular muso search out there - MusoFinder.
So what's new?
- We have improved the search engine by adding post code searching! This means you no longer have to worry about putting in your town or county as tags, just simply type in your postcode, select a radius (for example 25 miles) and hit search! All your nearest musos will pop up. This also works for other areas of the site too, ie Wanted Ads and My Alerts.
- We have gone international now and launched a US version of the site. By going to MusoFinder.com and setting the region, US zip code searching is now available. We feel because the site has done so well in the UK we can't let the rest of the world miss out.
- We have added an Events system. This works similar to the Wanted Ads system, in that you place an event (new post code searching included!) and it flags up in the "Browse recent events" section as well as your profile.
- Gold members can now jazz up their profiles with an enhanced profile editor, plus they can benefit from the new Media Centre called "My Music" by uploading videos as well as music in lots of different file types (similar to YouTube). The new Gold member Media Centre is also carried across to the forums, where Gold members can post in the Share Your Music forum, link to their music and get feedback on their tunes, like before but better this time.
Finally...
We are announcing a new level of membership called Access Membership. With Access you can get a 90 day pass for just £4.95 / $8.95 and that allows you to contact unlimited musos and send as many messages as you like within those 90 days. We hope that with this new membership, the amount of serious musos who want to network will go up, and the amount of "timewasters" which you guys often complain about will go down. It also means that we can put more money into advertising the site (meaning that more people find you), and spend more time building exciting new features!
Why not join our Facebook group, and stay in touch that way also. Simply log in to Facebook, and search for MusoFinder, then join the group that appears called "I'm on MusoFinder". There is a discussion forum there, place to upload your pics of jam nights and obviously The Wall!
