Farseer began in late 2007 by David Bisset (bass), David Connolly (guitar), Stefan Barron (drums) and Jon Stewart (guitar) whom set out to create a heavy metal band with an epic atmosphere, blending their influences from power metal, speed metal and battle metal to produce a fresh and headbangable sound. In April 2008 the line up was completed with the addition of vocalist Dean Turner.

In September 2008 Stefan Barron left the band and was replaced on drums by Colin Bolton. His first gig with the band was in November 2008 were they supported Sabaton in Farseer's home town of Glasgow. Additionally Farseer came first in band of the month poll as voted for by Scottish metalheads.

The band made it though to the Scottish regional finals of the Bloodstock Metal To The Masses Competition in 2009

Their first demo EP entitled 'Storm' was released in early January 2009. Storm is available on CD via the webshop links below and at upcoming gigs.

With the future in mind, vocalist Dean Turner was asked to leave Farseer in July 2009 to allow the band to find a vocalist with a more melodic style (see our influences for an idea). If interested in trying out for the position applicants can message us here or email stormlancer@hotmail.co.uk with some details about yourself and if possible a recording of yourself singing aswell. The band will continue writing material for their next release whilst the search is underway.
