Been writing songs for about 10 years. Tried many times, as usual, to get a band together. I think the songs and my personal ability are now at a point to have confidence in what I can do. The songs are getting more direction and always seem to have a really catchy element to them.

I've played a few gigs in Oldham and Manchester but my main experience is from Acoustic nights around Manchester with the lack of a band. I'm looking to develop my existing tunes and get quality gigs around Manchester and beyond. I've been playing with an excellent drummer who has his own kit. I have my own kit and transport.

I've recorded a few of them on my home computer so I'll try and upload a couple to this site. I have a myspace as well (myspace.com/dandrury).

My songs are all pretty quirky and I always aim for good melody and a real stomp feel for them. I think being in a band will push my songs forward and a bass player will be able to push the ideas on further. Ideally I could do with a bass player who can sing as well. I like to use harmony where possible in a Beatles/The Band kinda style.

Influences and soundlikes - Beatles, Kinks, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Band, George Harrison. My songs are influenced but have a really distinct sound. In everybodys Itunes collection I am always stored under 'alternative' in the style box.

My drummer and myself are both 30 so if you think you could makea difference..... get in touch..!!!!
