Music has been a part of my life since the age of 0. My dad played in a jazz band and my two sisters are professional singers in opera and musicals and have taught me some good singing techniques. I however, sing blues and rock and even country somtimes. Singing needs to be done with passion and feeling - I don't think it should be rigidly rehearsed with all the right words. I hope I bring my own feeling and personality to a covers song. I was the lead singer in a rock covers band until 2 years ago when it sadly came to an end. I sing songs from The Prentenders, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Cheryl Crow, Eurythmics, Arethra Franklin, Alanis Morrisette, Texas, Roxy Music, and many more. My voice is strong and has a good range, with passion and plenty of light and shade.

I'm in my mid 40's (people say I look younger than my age and I believe them!) and so am looking for an older aged band. I'm not looking for professionals, just people who enjoy performing, being together and not taking life too seriously. My brother is an excellent bass player so I may try and encourage him to get back into playing.
