I'm a 22 year old male from Colchester with a degree in Music, and a foundation degree in Popular Music.

I've been drumming for around 10 years now, having studied with several different tutor and picking things up off the internet, books and magazines.
I've played for several bands, been in a Radiohead and Muse tribute band, done studio work for friends, played percussion for a film soundtrack, and used to drum regularly in a jazz ensemble.

My drumming really took off after I discovered Travis Barker in 2000. Since then I have listened to a wide variety of bands and music and made my own mark and style when I play.
Drummers I really look up to include, Stewart Copeland (The Police), Travis Barker (Blink 182, Boxcar Racer, Transplants, Plus 44), Jose Pasillas II (Incubus) and Dom Howard (Muse).
I can sight read fairly well, play almost any style, notate scores, and work out parts to songs from straight-forward 4/4 to more rhymically complex material.
A few years ago I become interested in speed drumming or the WFD (World's Fastest Drummer) competitions, though do not think this is what my playing is about. I take my drumming very seriously!

As well as drumming I play piano, guitar and bass to a fairly high standard, again able to read music and improvise,
but my ideal role in a band would be drummer. These are just skills I have acquired over the last few years making myself more useful when around musicians and when writing my own material.

Music that has influenced me in all areas are Muse, Coldplay, Beach Boys (for the amazingly technical harmonies and brilliant chord progressions), Blink 182, Incubus, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Ben Folds Five, Jimmy Eat World, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Police.

I have a double pedal to be able to encompass more into my playing, but my forté is still single pedal and fast hands. If you're looking for a double pedal pro for speed metal, I'm not your man.

I have my own equipment including both an acoustic kit with a varitey of Pearl, DW and Zildjian Hardware, and an Electronic Yamaha DTXpress IV.
