Hi I'm Anelka. Female bass player now based in Huddersfield/Manchester. 40 but still rock and look good and well cared for. I've had a lot of playing experience over the years from amateur up to pro, worked and toured with well-known professional artists. I've also worked as a journalist for a music mag in the Netherlands covering things like NAMM and Musicmessa, Frankfurt etc. I have all my own pro gear, including 4 and 5 string basses, and also play double bass. I can play most styles, pop, rock, soul etc. don't do the "slapping and popping" thing any more,(I've never liked it), play funk finger-style. I'm easy to get on with, reliable and learn quickly. I'm looking for either a pro or semi-pro band with a pro attitude and I'm available to work up to 4 or 5 nights a week, and tour, UK, Europe, North America if it's available. I have my own transport and I'm willing to travel for the right band situation. If you guys would like to be different and have a good female bass player in the band, get in touch.
