I have been working as a professional drummer and occasional lead vocalist for over 20 years.I read well and can play all styles.People tell me I am a creative and dynamic player.I have mostly worked in cover/ dance bands but have also been involved in ' film score' music and I featured on a Channel 4 TV program in the early 90's playing sampled/electronic percussion.
I am experienced in playing to click and in the use of M.I.D.I systems/sampling/sequencing etc.
I own a selection of acoustic and electronic/sampled drums and related gear, to suit different types of work.
My main drumming influences are Bill Bruford,Stewart Copeland,Gary Husband,Mr Bonham, the funky guys and reggae playaz ...plus Tony Williams and many,many more great drummers.On the guitar side I am a big Allan Holdsworth fan and respect the work of Robert Fripp ,David Bowie, Annette Peacock, Bjork, Frank Sinatra, Beatles, Nina Simone,James Brown, Bootsy Collins..etc.etc...I try to keep an open mind on music and can enjoy playing anything from tender ballads to angry metal..each style presents it's own challenge.
