My name is andy, and I manage a professional (for 10 years) soul / motown / northern soul singer, who is well established in the industry doing high-class corporate work as well as motown /northern soul events, and am now embarking on (another) attempt to get the right band together. Looking for drums, gtr, bass, keys, brass and back vox.
This time, really NOT looking for anyone with an ego, unwilling to travel, isn't really into the music or drop the project as soon as something else comes along etc...You get the idea !
We have all the PA, lighting, transport, etc. and a great relaxed, but organised, professional work ethic, you just need to be a great team player.
You would need to enjoy working with us, not afraid to give up time for rehearsals, and do it for the love of the music, more than anything. Once the band is up to the standard of say (the Funk Brothers) then loads of top class work awaits, as well as a potential theatre tour .
Music is: Motown (supremes, gladys knight, smokey robinson, stevie wonder, four tops etc..) some Northern Soul (edwin starr, elgins etc.) , as well as Candi Staton, Gloria Gaynor, Chaka Khan.
