Hi, I'm Andy, I'm a vocalist and songwriter, 32, lots of varied musical experience (I've been in a couple of bands, written songs for a couple of musicals, etc..), lots of nice recording equipment, own PA, etc...busily bringing people together to form a band, record an album, try and get some sort of deal, or equivalent distribution.
I've got some songs ready, there're others in the pipeline, and room for collaboration with other musicians who get involved.
Hurry, hurry, step right up...!
At the moment the plan is to write/record at least an albums worth of material, then go on to conventional band rehearsals (to learn to play what we've recorded), then gig after our audience has had access to the album.
At the moment i'm working with Tony (bassist/multi-instrumentalist) and Will, (piano, keys) writing songs and recording rough guide vocal/rhythm guitar and drum machine tracks for the album (the drum machine to be replaced by a live drummer later on), for people to play over: but we need a guitarist to get involved in the project full time before we can take things much further: as you can hear from the MP3 tracks we've put up here!
Ideally we're looking for people fairly local to cambridge, (although it's up to you as long as you can get here!) 25-35, similarly minded and similarly ambitious to get involved. Influences: there's lots. Bit Elbow-ish here and there, maybe..lots of laidback, mellow stuff, some more up-tempo..we like diversity!
