Hello there! Talented 22 year old singer/songwriter with endless ambition, looking for a skilled guitarist to accompany me. I play guitar myself but it isn't something I'm passionate about and I feel like playing distracts me when singing... So I'm looking for someone who loves it!
My style falls into jazz/soul/blues, which is cliche I know, but I promise you I'm not an average "one of them" soul singers! ... And that's about as arrogant as I'm gonna get...
I'm heavily influenced by the old motown-ers Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, and so on... Then more contemporary artists like Jamie Lidell, Amy Winehouse (the FRANK days), Martina Topley-Bird, Feist, Ray Lamontagne, even Gnarls Barkley's less commercial tracks.
