Hello, and welcome to my profile! Let me introduce myself,

The name is Johan, and the instrument is primarily the drums. I\'ve been playing for over 5 years now, and have reached a high level of skill. Obviously that's just talk, so I'm trying to get a sound sample recorded at some point. In the mean time, I can play nearly anything I hear with the exception of insanely fast metal. Before drums I had a solid grounding in music, with the piano and flute (reaching grades 5 and 8 respectively), and it is rumoured that I can also sing well. My kit is extensive (2 bass, 2 floors toms, 6 rack toms, 4 snares, insane number of cymbals), which allows me to pick the unique sound needed for specific bands / gigs. I am happy to play for both session and full band commitments. If you just need a temp. drummer, I won't try and claw on to the post!

Primarily, I play rock, with influences from Coldplay to Queen, and Bon Jovi to Muse. However, I am quite partial to a bit of Big Band, Jazz and Country music.

Aside from music,currently studying for a PhD in Plymouth University. I am also an enthusiastic weight trainer, and am a dedicated member of Methodist Central Hall. If it's relevant, I'm a non-smoker and a non-drinker.
