I am a music industry consultant who has worked in A&R across all genres in several countries for a number of years. I have now branched into artist management and work for London based Trashed Management. Despite the fact that we handle many of the UK's top photographers who are official photographers to such artists as Kasabian, Oasis, Lostprophets and Funeral For A Friend, we are prodominantly an artist management company who specialize in rock. Having just broke The Glitterati in The US we have now turned our attention back to the UK market after having recently signed up the Indy Award Best Rock Act winners of 2007, Red Star Rebels. "The Rebels" recently broke The Darkness' 2001 record of number of sold out London shows as an unsigned act. The band have a legion of fans nationwide after their 144 date UK tour in 2006. The band have soundtracked 2 recent movies and move into the frenzy of the bidding season this autumn as the UK's hottest property.
The reason I am contacting you is because due to the heavy commitment involved in this act the band had to part company with their bass player and now a permanant replacement must be found. Its a great opportunity for any young budding bassist to be involved with and we at Trashed feel that its a great time to bring in a new bass player before the launch of Red Star Rebels begins in the new year on a big label.
