The Eccentric Sensibles - or 'The Eccentrics' - as they are affectionately known, formed in 2007 by Lee Howard and Jim Aladay. After years of songwriting and jamming, Lee and Jim got their act together and decided to get things off the ground. Drummer Tom Gregory was recruited at the start of 2008 and something was coming together. This left them the task of finding a bass player to complete the quartet and give the band some much needed balance. A choice meeting put Lee in contact with an old guitar playing acquaintance Dave Mitchell, who himself was looking for a new musical challenge. Dave became the Eccentrics new Bass player and quickly adapted to the new role after being a lead guitarist in previous endeavours.

The Eccentrics highlight of 2008 was undoubtedly their performance at the Sunbury Regatta on a rosy August afternoon which received great critical acclaim both by revellers and local music reporters alike, and done nothing to quell the enthusiasm of up and coming shows with an EP release date to be announced in the future.

Crowd favourites 'Boring' - which is anything but - and '9 til 5' continue to captivate each and every audience, with new track 'Fan 37' certain to please the masses of DIY Guerrilla band followers since The Libertines 'Up the Bracket'.

2009 cannot arrive too soon for these four "friendly punk" aristocrats from suburbia...
