The Nihilists has been touring the northwest since 2006 on and off as a glam/hard rock band, with a semi electronic and faux gothic feel to them, described as a smelting pot between the look of early Manics combined with the pure glam of Hanoi Rocks with a heart that is seen only in the lyrics of The Cure and The Smiths... Turblance seemed to follow the band and thus minimal success was achieved, arguments, breakdown in communications and no-shows finished the band off, playing their final gig as a 2 piece in the summer of 2007, with sole songwriter and co-frontman Stephen Rose putting the project on hold to focus on his own solo acoustic work.

The band is expected to make a return in 2008 with Rose and possibly the original bassist Richard Valentine returning, the news of a reunion has sent the bands small, but obsessive, fan base into the realms of grand anticipation.
