Saxylizbeth or Liz Mitchell as she also known, is a graduate of Middlesex University and is a versatile London based jazz/session/freelance woodwindist. Performing on Saxes, Clarinet and Flute, in an eclectic mix of bands and styles from Symphonic wind to Roots and jazz, funk and soul.

Member of cult favourites, the Voodoo Trombone Quartet and the up and coming Popes of Chillitown, Liz has also worked alongside Dennis Rollins with the Doncaster Jazz Orchestra and worked under award winning conductor John K Andrews. An experienced pit worker (from Yorkshire..where else!) credits include Grease and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Since studying Jazz Composition with Eddie Parker & Stuart Hall at Middlesex, Liz has been active on the music scene in London, performing at venues as diverse as Ronnie Scotts, The Shaw Theatre, St James Covent Garden, The Rock Garden, Cargo, Dublin Castle, South London Pacific, Hope & Anchor.

Liz also appeared at Arumdo and Baked Beats (2006) and will be appearing in 2007 at festivals including Glastonbury, The Larmer Tree, Glade, Fruitstock and Lost Vagueness.
