I'm Ian. 21 and studying popular music at Gloucestershire University. I've played alto and tenor sax for about 10 years on average (had an off period several years ago thanks to a less than helpful teacher) and have my jazz grade 8 from Guildhall. I've been looking for a jazz band to join in or around Cheltenham since I got to uni and really want to get gigging again! I've played in several blues, jazz, big and soul bands back in surrey and am dying to get involved over here. I also play guitar and write and play a lot of my own music wherever I can in true singer-songwritery fashion but I dabble in other styles like funk,metal and even some medieval sounding stuff. It's worth mentioning I've fronted a metal band a few years ago on vocals but I'm not surprised if my voice is suited to a more mellow or soulful style. So, Cheltenham, Gloucester, heed my call!
