BIO

A guitarist, bassist, singer and songwriter since 1966, Simon first tasted success in the music industry in 1984, working as a producer and songwriter for WEA International. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, he produced three critically aclaimed albums with top Thai artists.

Leaving Thailand he was signed to Swiss-based Euro label Top in 1989 releasing a CD in Europe, the original version of 'Broken Heart & Shattered Dreams'. He was signed to US indie label Apeiron Records in 1991, releasing a remixed US version of 'Broken Heart & Shattered Dreams' in late 1993.

In 1994 Simon returned to his native Herefordshire in the UK, writing and producing corporate soundtracks for Sony, Mercury Communications and Dixons.

Simon teaches guitar and bass professionally and as a producer works to develop the careers of young artists at his recording studio, Planet Zog.

Simon is a founding member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Accademy of Recording Arts & Sciences. He was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel in 1993 in Louisville, KY.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Simon completed producing jazz guitarist Lee Jones' debut jazz/fusion album 'Swish' in mid-2007 and is now working on Lee's as yet untitled second album.
