Hi my name is James Quaile
I've been playing the drums for over 10 years, and in that time i got my grade 8 through the Guildhall music examination institution in the summer of 06. I went to Wellington College in Berkshire, and I am currently in my third and final year, studying Politics and Modern History at the University of Manchester. Playing the drums is my main passion and I would love to make a career out of my ability, however I play competitive uni rugby and am looking to get my degree first.
Completing drum kit grades means that I have been taught to play technically and professionally and so I can read drum scores and play a wide variety of drum feels. This was developed by my involvement in my college Jazz Orchestra and Orchestra, and I have also been known to play in the rock covers band Red Zone Alley in the South. I was in a rock band with my twin brother who is an excellent singer/songwriter. However, now as we are at different uni's we are looking individually, although we are making a cd in easter to put to the music companies.

Therefore I teach beginners at a discounted fee, although I am not a professional or full-time drum tutor yet. I live in Fallowfield in Manchester in uni time and in the holidays I live at home near Farnham in Surrey. I have an electric drum kit with me at uni for practicing and an acoustic set at home in Surrey.

I am driven by my passion for drumming in a sucessful and signed band and this is what I want for a career! I am living with an incredible guitarist but we need some inspiration and others at our level of ability, who love rock music and want to take it further. Music is really a big part of what I enjoy in day to day life, either playing it or listening to it.

My favourite drummer of all time is Buddy rich as he was in a class of his own.
I love all music that is good quality but I expecially love modern and classic rock, my favourite artists being: Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Muse, Feeder, Led Zep, Dire Straits, Guns and Roses, Wolfmother, Jimmy Hendrixx etc etc

I am also really into break beats and funky house, such as prodigy, chemical brothers, and Stanton Warriors and I like drum and bass like Andy C, High Contrast, Shy FX etc..
