Hi im Mike Perks and i live in Cam/Dursley area in Gloucestershire

MUSICAL BACKGROUND
I am a guitarist and i have been playing self taught for 4+ years, I have focused more on the rhythm side of guitar rather than rushing straight to lead which i think has benefited me greatly, but i am progressing to more lead work.
I can play also play drums but not on a professional scale. I have also had experience as a frontman in my former band aswell as guitarist. I Have gigging experience and am always looking fora new opportunity to play another show.

INFLUENCES
Over the years my influences for song writing and playing have been brought on by bands such as...Iron Maiden, Threat signal, At The Gates, In Flames, Chimaira, Staind, Meshuggah, Lamb of God and many more

my main music interests range from mellow rock, to old rock and metal, to the latest heavy metal. Although there are some exceptions such as hardcore and 2 step and general crap that makes no sense what so ever, not my style.

CURRENT PROJECTS
I am currently in a band called Born Into Exile which is based in stonehouse gloucestershire with members coming from local surrounding areas. We are still just starting up, making our material and such and we have some good stuff so far. We are hoping to get out and start gigs as soon as we are ready but we could be looking for new vocalist soon so watch the space if your interested.
