Mundo's profile

We are a band made up of experienced musicians playing a mix of Brazilian, African, Jazz and a touch of Cuban music. Our collective influences include artists such as Zawinul Syndicate, Richard Bona, Airto & Flora's Fourth World, Joyce, Metheny, Hancock, EST and Zappa amongst many many others.

We have been writing some original material for the last few months and plan to blend these new tunes with a mix of covers from some of the aforementioned artists. Songs are usually performed in the original language to keep things as authentic as possible.

We are based in Cheltenham and played our first gig as Mundo Pequeno at the 2007 Cheltenham Jazz Festival but then decided to take time out to write some new material which is now ready.

The band line-up is as follows: Vocals, Guitar, Sax, Keyboards, Bass(auditioning), Drums, Percussion(auditioning).

We are currently looking for a Bass Player and Percussionist.
