Hello! I am looking to organise a mandolin festival in London. I'm approaching every mandolin player and every mandolin club in London to participate. A couple of pieces will be practiced over several weeks culminating in a final performance to the public. Many of the mandolin clubs in London are dwindling so I hope a combined effort of players will revive amateur playing in London.

I am looking for mandolin, mandola, guitar and bass players. The festival will play modern/contemporary, baroque and music familiar to the mandolin groups in London (mainly classical). Whilst all players are welcome, those that cannot read music or are new to the instrument will find difficulty. We are also looking for a conductor.

The festival will be held between February and April next year 2009. This festival is not for profit and all expensive will be paid for by the final performance and donations by players.
