My name is Corrine, and I'm 20 years old
I absolutely love music (bands I like include Joy Division, The Doors, Broken Social Scene, The Mars Volta, Paramore, Incubus, NIN, Beth Orton, Teenage Fanclub, The Young Knives, Say Anything, The Cure, The Smiths, Zero 7, Jimmy Eat World, Jose Gonzalez, Blondie, Buddy Holly, The Kills, Mystery Jets, The Rapture & many, many more) Main influences are a mixture of new and older music as you can tell.
I like quite raw sounding music but also like bands with intense lyrics, and bands that simply make you want to dance, hence wanting to make music ranging anything from acoustic to electro, to indie, to rock.
I have been interested in starting up a band for a long time now. Preferably in the East Sussex area, more toward Eastbourne and Hastings. I don't drive at the minute so these are the easiest places for me to get to.
Main talent is vocalist, though I am currently learning to play guitar (rather unsuccessfully =p).
I don't have much experience, except performing in front of crowds 200+ at school concerts in the past, and have recently sung with a few bands at my local pub, but I am keen to learn, work well with other musicians and am enthusiastic when it comes to making music and performing. I'm self taught but am hoping to get some singing lessons in the next couple of months to improve on technique etc.
