Long overdue update. I play keyboards (new Korg M3) and sax and have a home studio with Cubase SX3, Reason and two hard disc recorders for transferring live material. Now in a band with guitarist and we think we have found a drummer. Looking for an interesting singer - preferably female - and a bassist, but also anyone else who plays something more unorthodox and who likes the sound of this. Personality and the desire to make it work are most important. Age is not a barrier! Rehearsing in the Ely area from mid-Jan 2008, unless you have facilities??

I write quirky stuff and one problem I have (of many) is that I can't stick to one style, so there's vintage pop eg Brian Wilson, Scritti Politti, and more modern stuff like Radiohead. But the band is likely to develop a blend of the intelligent end of progressive rock with electronic and experimental overtones and everyone can and should contribute. But you should get the idea that we don't want to play rock 'n' roll... Think early Goldfrapp and Moloko, Lamb, Bjork, XTC, King Crimson, VdGG, Spock's Beard, the Canterbury bands, Brand X, Miles Davis (electric period), Jack Bruce, David Sylvian, with a mix of composition and improvised pieces, both rhythmic and melodic. Writers / composers welcome (esp lyrics).
