Looking for experienced players with an experimental nature, who play for spirit and soul to play some gigs and showcases :-

Double bass player/bass player Someone who can play with a bow during quiet moments, use bass effects like envelope filter, fuzz, etc. a big sound.
Drummer/Percussionist Preferably hardhitting, sensitive, dynamic, minimalist jazz kit, able to play rock, drum n bass style breaks, as well as some odd time signatures, possibly triggering samples, and mixing up kit with percussion - tabla, darbouka/doumbek, cajon). Or possibly a drummer AND a separate percussionist.

Backing vocals a plus.

The sound is an exciting, hard edged, experimental, modern rock sound with world and electronic influences, with acoustic flamenco inspired moments.

The band lineup is a 3 piece drums, bass and guitar unit, sometimes complimented by other instruments to deliver some of the more complex arrangements. I feel this lineup will allow a freedom and a huge spectrum of sound to be covered while maintaining a strong central base.

Songs and arrangements written so this isn't a collaborative project, (however there will be plenty of opportunity for improvisation and artistic expression!).

I'm looking for serious, musicians preferably in mid 20's, who aren't ruled by egos, who are spontaneous players, creative, and fun to jam with. Musicians who strive for absolute expression through their instruments.

So many influences but to give you an idea of music I love... Incubus, Chase and Status, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Bjork, Miles Davis, Paco De Lucia, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Slobodan Trkulja, SRV, Talvin Singh, The Mars Volta, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, John Lee Hooker, BB King, RATM,System of a Down, Bill Hicks, Iggy Pop, 20th century classical, avant garde, anything with integrity, passion, honesty, and real soul.

It's very particular people I'm looking for, however don't be afraid to get in touch if this sounds like a project you would enjoy.
