Looking for a bassist and lead guitarist to complete a girl-fronted pop/punk/indie band who have recently lost theirs.

Only a month or so old and they decided that they weren't right for it so left and now we need to get it back on track.

Got some songs, got some covers, got enthusiasm, got loads of lyrics and ideas that we need to translate into songs.

Influences: Gossip, Paramore, The Kinks, Clash, Buzzcocks, the View, Fratellis, Long Blondes, Pink (I'm Not Dead album), Reel Big Fish, Sonic Boom Six, Gang Of Four, Chillis, The Jam (and Weller solo stuff), Fall Out Boy (Going Down), Panic at the Disco, Plan B, Juliette and The Licks, Busted (Where Is The Love), No Doubt, Another Girl Another Planet, Lily Allen, Beat Nation, Mika, Ordinary Boys...got the picture?

Rehearse in Stockport but 3 members are from Stockport, Stretford and Bolton (Thank God for the M60!!!) so anywhere in Manchester area will do.

Not looking for guitar Gods but some talent is required and enthusiasm esssential. Looking for age 20 and under to fit in with the 17 year olds in band so far but a year or so older will do if yo've a young attitude, love music and fancy it - including songwriting with me.

Oh yeah..Me. I'm the manager. Have been managing in Manchester for over a year now and the girl singer in the band is my daughter. Previously managed a different Stockport band but that didn't work out hence this new one. I used to be in a band in London in the early 80's that toured with The Jam and were signed to EMI (don't ask - we weren't famous although I have played live at The Manchester Apollo and Wembley Arena) and I LOVE MUSIC!

I have excellent contact at many music places in Manchester such as the Academy 3 and The Late Room as well as Night and Day and Designer Magazine and want to help put a band on the map.

I write lyrics and want to work with the guitarist and bassist to sort tunes out and take to the rest of the band to 'sculpture' as I do already with our drummer.

BACK TO THE BAND STUFF:
Attitude and a want to learn and grow culture is vitally important. Ability and well but doesn't need to be Grade 108 - if you know what I mean. We can grow together!
