I have recently graduated with an Upper Second degree in music from the University of Huddersfield, having previously studied piano at Trinity College of Music in London. I was a member of the Brighton Youth Orchestra in 2004 and performed with them at Glyndebourne Opera House and for a concert at the Brighton Dome featuring Evelyn Glennie.

During my time at Huddersfield I performed regularly with the orchestra, symphonic wind orchestra and new music ensemble, with whom I performed a concert as part of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival which was subsequently broadcast on BBC radio 3. I recently performed again for the festival, in an ensemble of 20 harpists, including Rhodri Davies and Eira Lynne Jones.

I have given workshops in schools, demonstrating the harp and compositional techniques for the instrument. While studying at university I often helped composers to write for the harp, being an instrument which is often misunderstood. I believe that it is important for young musicians to have the opportunity to learn about less common instruments and their capabilities.

I am also an experienced piano and harp teacher, having taught for much of my time while studying at Trinity. I have taught pupils of all ages and abilities.

I am available for hire for all kinds of functions. Previous engagements include providing background music at a celebratory meal for the Vice chancellor of Huddersfield University, and at a drinks reception for HRH Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to the Huddersfield. I have played for weddings in various venues including churches, castles and stately homes. My repertoire ranges from classical and folk to more popular pieces and requests are also possible.
